“Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous! It is fitting for the upright to praise Him. Praise the Lord with the harp; make music to Him on the ten-stringed lyre. Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully, and shout for joy.” Psalm 33:1-3

At Livingston Christian Center, the ministry of music plays a vital role in all of our services. As people in love with our Savior, we desire to use our musical talents and abilities to worship Jesus Christ in Spirit and in Truth. Our Sunday worship service features biblically-based and powerful contemporary worship music, some classic worship choruses and favorite hymns, and other multi-media elements. Our desire is that you will experience the presence and the transformational power of the Holy Spirit as you join with us in worship each Sunday. Our Worship Team consists of guitars, keyboards, bass, drums, percussion, piano, vocalists, and the occasional saxaphone or violin. Our team members have a wide variety of backgrounds, skill levels, and experience, but the one thing we all have in common is our desire to serve Jesus and to lead His people into His presence.

The Good News that we sing about is that Jesus Christ gave His life on the cross, to provide forgiveness for our sins and a means that we can have eternal life in heaven with Him. As you join us in worshiping Him and reflecting on what that sacrifice means to you personally, we encourage you to express your love and devotion to Him from your heart. Some people will worship by singing, clapping, raising their hands, or even shouting for joy, while others will be contemplative and focus on the words that are being sung. There is no “right way” to worship the Lord, we just encourage you to be yourself and worship in a way that is meaningful to you. It is through these personal encounters with the Holy Spirit that we are energized to go out from the church and carry the joy of His presence with us into our daily lives.

Getting Involved

We are always looking for people to join our team who have skills or abilities in music or technical areas, and a passion for serving Jesus. In addition to instrumentalists or vocalists, we have opportunities for you to serve on our Tech Team in the areas of sound engineering, multi-media, or video production. No prior experience is necessary in this area, you just need to be teachable and moderately tech-savvy. If you are interested in serving on our Worship Team or Tech Team, please read and fill out the Information and Application packet from the link below and return it to Worship Pastor Chad Smith.
